Starbase 297

Starbase 297, one of the AQSG's newest sims, is now accepting players. While I am indeed searching for regular crew, I am experimenting with a new concept. This game will be open to any member of the AQSG, and does not require anyone to be a regular of the starbase to post.

For example, say you play the Chief Science Officer of the USS Starfire, but you've always wanted to explore the life of a common merchant and you didn't want to go further than a post and didn't want to commit full time to another game. You now have the opportunity to do so. Here at Starbase 297, there are no commitments, and you can post as you will. You can explore the lower decks, play a part in the Orion Syndicate or a smuggler, or a Petty Officer stuck with trash detail. The options are almost limitless.

What also makes Starbase 297 unique is that as the GM I will not come up with mission or situations. Outsiders to the game can throw "curve balls" or other little things that can have an affect on the regular crew.

Those wishing to be a part of the regular crew will be held to a once-a-week posting commitment.

Positions open:
Executive Officer (also AGM)
Chief of Operations
Chief Science Officer
Chief Medical Officer
Chief of Strategic Operations
Head of the Chamber of Commerce (civilian only)
Chief of Station Security
Chief Diplomatic Officer
Chief Flight Controller / Dockmaster

Starbase 297 is located 100 lightyears from Earth and is near no territorial borders, but is several thousand kilometers from a large Mutara-class nebula. She is, nor will ever be, in danger from the major powers in the Alpha Quadrant.

Those wishing to apply for regular crew with commitments may use the AQSG Join Form to fill out. Those wishing to participate in the Come and Go section will have their opportunity next week when the game opens.

The game will be played out entirely on the AQSG Forums and is a member of the 3rd "Tactical" Fleet.

USS Ark Royal

Welcome back to the crew of the USS Ark Royal. It has been some time since the Ark Royal has been an active simulation, yet we still welcome her back with open arms as she is now the flagship of the 9th Fleet!
